1. What Tripsteca is
Tripsteca is a personal trip-organizing application: creating trips, tracking itinerary items (flights, hotels, car rentals, rail, and other bookings), and optionally using automated features like email confirmation import and trip maps.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your password secure. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
3. Companion traveler profiles
If you add companion traveler profiles (people traveling with you who don't have their own login), you're responsible for having the right to enter their personal information — including passport details — and for keeping it accurate. Companion travelers do not consent to this directly through Tripsteca; that responsibility is yours as the account holder who added them.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Tripsteca to store or forward unlawful content, attempt to bypass security measures (such as automated signup protections or rate limits), or interfere with the service's normal operation.
5. Automated features and accuracy
This is important for a travel app specifically: the optional email-import feature uses AI to extract booking details (dates, times, confirmation numbers, etc.) from forwarded emails. AI extraction can make mistakes. Always verify imported itinerary details against your original confirmation email before relying on them — for example, before heading to the airport. Tripsteca is not responsible for missed flights, bookings, or other consequences resulting from inaccurate automatically-imported data.
6. Third-party services
Certain features rely on third-party services (Anthropic, Mailgun, Google Maps), described in our Privacy Policy. We aren't responsible for outages or errors originating from those services.
7. Fees
Tripsteca is currently free to use. We may introduce paid plans or premium features in the future; if so, we'll provide notice before any existing free functionality becomes paid-only.
8. No warranty
Tripsteca is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular feature (including AI-based extraction or mapping) will be accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tripsteca and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including, without limitation, missed travel plans, financial loss, or data loss.
10. Account suspension or termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including abusive use of automated features or attempts to circumvent security protections.
11. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
